Drake the Cosmic Copper Review
Ok, so you're probably here because you saw the News thing about Drake the Cosmic Copper, so here it goes. I just read it and kind of started reviewing it in my mind so I decided to share my thoughts on here. Overall the art and story line of the episode are well done. I honestly have no complaints about the art, it was well done, nicely laid out and you can tell the artist put a lot of work into it. I didn't love the style it took necessarily, but it sounds like that'll change when it comes to the magazine so that will be interesting to see. As far as the story line, it wasn't bad, but the theme, or "lesson" if you will wasn't super clear throughout the story. It didn't start developing until about a fourth of the way through the comic and wasn't clear until the end. It was also a story line that had already been depicted in Odyssey episodes such as "Prisoners of Fear," where someone has to make personal and emotional sacrifices to save a loved one, so it felt a bit repetitive. As far as the dialogue, I wish it would have been a bit more accurate with the Drake the Comic Copper episode, especially with Woots, because while reading it, some of the lines were hard to imagine him saying. Overall the comic was pretty enjoyable and I would defiantly recommend it for Odyssey and Drake fans everywhere!
