Olivia Parker, is a fun and talented, 13 year old, who is in 8th grade. She is in the same class as Barrett Jones and Priscilla Peterson. Olivia's morals are right but she has a hard time controlling her temper, especially when it comes to hurt friends. She enjoys singing and art, and is in a band with Barrett and Priscilla.

Matthew Parker
Matthew Parker, who is best friends with Emily Jones, is a tinkerer. He loves pulling things apart, rebuilding, and changing things for the better. Matthew is 12 years old and in the 7th grade. He also owns a detective agency with Emily, where he intuitively takes notes. Matthew is usually pretty reasonable, even in the episodes where Emily is constantly irritated at him.

Barrett Jones
Barrett Jones is a kind, talented 14 year old. He has been in several musicals and plays. He also plays the trombone. He has a crush on one of his best friends, Priscilla, and is always a gentleman around her. He, Priscilla, and Jay's cousin Cindy, are pen pals, who write their letters in crayon, because they all like coloring. Barrett is sworn enemies with Jay, and always apposes him and tries to put an end to his "evil" plans. Barrett is easily distracted and lazy at times but overall he's a kind, honest person.

Emily Jones
Emily Jones is a smart 12 year old who owns her own detective agency with her best friend Matthew Parker. She is intuitive, sharp, and notices things quickly. Even though she is usually kind and thoughtful, she can be easily irritated like her father. She seems to be always carrying a purse and ready to jump into a mystery. She also is impressed and has a crush on Buck Oliver.

Priscilla Peterson
Priscilla Peterson is known for her shyness but has costarred in a musical with Barrett Jones. She is 13 and has a crush on Barrett. She often relies on Barrett for protection from Jay, who seems to make her his punchline quite frequently. She plays the flute in a band with Barrett and Olivia. Priscilla is always open to helping out with causes such as the Rockathon in the Molted Milkball Falcon.

Jay Smouse
Jay Smouse is a comedic 12 year old who likes to bug kids. He may consider himself a bully but it's only in his own mind. He is sworn enemies with Barrett Jones, and likes to pick on Priscilla Peterson. Jay LOVES Elvis. Elvis albums, Elvis wigs, Elvis jumpsuits, and Elvis bobble-heads! Often, Jay will fire horrible insults and threats like, "Ah, Barrett, skinny like a carrot and mangy like a ferret. Jay may sound a bit mean, but deep down he has a good heart. Like we see in Mistaken for Good or Thirty Jays Hath September.

John Avery Whitaker
John Whitaker, is the longest lasting characters in Odyssey. He is mostly known for owning an ice cream shop and discovery emporium, called Whit's End. But he's also been a teacher, government agent, inventor, army fighter, and of course, ice cream maker! Mr. Whitaker, or Whit as his friends call him, is a devote Christian and middle-school youth pastor. The kids often go to him for advice, and he has been known to be someone they can tell anything. Mr. Whitaker is 91 years old and was born on October 1. Whit is a very Godly man, but slips up sometimes when it comes to his daughter, Janna. Whit has two other kids, Jerry and Jason. Jerry died in the war with Vietnam, but Jason was a government agent for almost 20 years and now runs an antique shop in Odyssey.

Jason Whitaker

Jason Whitaker is John Whitaker's son, and he is in his late 30s or early 40s. Jason worked as an undercover agent with the FBI. He tried to retire quite a few times, but always got pulled back in. He is now currently retired and living in Odyssey. When Jack and Joan left for their travels, Jason took over the business, and still works there. Tasha Forbes was a love interest for Jason, but since Tasha wasn't a Christian, the couple canceled the wedding. We haven't heard from Tasha since album 50, and as far as we know, Tasha, thinks Jason is dead.

Eugene Meltsner is one of the longest lasting characters in Odyssey and he is probably a bit younger than Jason. Eugene is a professor at Camble County Community Collage, and is known for his extensive knowledge and use of large words. After a long quarting and engangment process with Katrina Shanks, the two finally got married in album 44. Eugene and Katrina are sadly unable to have children, but in album 58, they became the guardians of 14 year old, Buck Oliver. Eugene is a long time employee at Whit's End, where he helps out with mechanical complications and inventory. Eugene is a Godly man who has matured immensely in his faith and conduct over the years. Because of his practicality, Eugene often tries to fix situations with is mind instead of his heart, this is depicted in album 55, when Eugene and Katrina find out they can't have children. Eugene also has a father and brother, but we haven't heard from them since album 48.

Katrina Meltsner |
Katrina Meltsner is Eugene's wife and Buck's kind of mother figure. She is a substitute teacher at Odyssey Middle School, and she enjoys many of the same things Eugene does. Katrina likes history and literature. And they are her favorite things to teach. She rarely looses her temper, but in the episode Out of the Woods, Buck says, "It's not Katrina's anger that scares me, it's her disappointment." Katrina was born in Chicago and She and Eugene were wed at her dying father's bedside. Katrina is more parent-like than Eugene, because of her loving heart, and giving attitude.

Buck Oliver |
Buck, though a newer character to Odyssey, has already won the hearts of fans everywhere. He's known for his kindhearted nature, adorable southern accent and charming, yet misunderstood roguish character. Buck was first introduced to the show in album 53. His guardian was a man named Mr. Skint, who turned out to be part of a counterfeit scam. Because of his participation in this illegal act, Buck was placed in Juvenile detention. When his prison time was up, Pastor Quan asked Eugene and Katrina to become the temporary "halfway house" for Buck, since they knew him from before. Buck is now 14 and is trying to abandon his deceitful ways, and make a new life in Odyssey. He recently put a stop to Vance (Odyssey Middleschool's violent bully)'s gang, who had previously beet him up.

Connie Kendal
Connie Kendall, who is played by Katie Leigh, the longest lasting actor on Adventures in Odyssey. She is currently 22 years old, but came to live in Odyssey when she was 14. Connie moved to Odyssey from California after her parents got a divorced. Connie is most famous for working at Whit's End, where she listens to the kids' problems, hosts her own radio show on Kids' Radio called Candid Conversations with Connie, and helps serve ice cream behind the counter. Two of her best friends are Penny Wise and Wooton Bassett, and she also has a sweet, kind of brother, sister relationship with Jason Whitaker. Though Connie is quick to loose her temper, she has a great heart and a fun, spunky personality.

Wooton Bassett
Wooton Bassett is a comedic relief of Odyssey. He is a mailman, but also writes comic books, including the very popular Power Boy series. Wooton has a great sense of humor, and always seems to be looking on the bright side of things, like cracking jokes even when Connie was going through the tough time of her mother's death. Wooton recently got engaged to Penny Wise, and they will probably get married in one of the next few albums.

Penny Wise
Penny Wise is super creative and fun. She works at an art gallery where some of her own paintings have been displayed. Penny loves organizing things, and she often turns to the internet or books for solutions or to help a friend. After Wooton proposed to her, she took a whole album of counseling and decision making, she finally said yes! Penny doesn't like to rush into things, and likes to take her time to do things. Though a little bit childish, Penny is careful in her decision making, and she has a great, outgoing, personality.
